Learn how to connect your Gmail with SMTP securely and authorize TrulyInbox to integrate with your Gmail, in accordance with Google's security guidelines.
You can follow these steps:
On your computer, open Gmail.
Click on Settings in the top right corner
Click on See all settings

Click the " Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab
In the " IMAP Access" section, select "Enable IMAP".
Click the " Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab

Click Save Changes.
Enabling 2-Step Verification provides an additional level of security to your Google account and is required to generate an application-specific password. two factor authentication / 2 Step verification is needed to be enabled at the admin level first, then the user in the org can find it and enable it themselves.
Open your Google Account and select Security in the navigation panel to enable it.


Click GET STARTED
It will prompt you to log in again.
Set up your phone for Two Factor authentication

Enter the code you’ve received to your phone number to confirm.
Once you’ve confirmed click Turn On, 2-Factor Verification has been enabled now.

Go back to the Security page. https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/security and click on App passwords.
If you don't find it use this direct link to generate an app password: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords

To confirm your identity, you will be prompted to enter your password again.
Under App and Device, select "Mail" for the App and "Other (Custom)" for the Device.
For organizational purposes, you can name it "TrulyInbox" and then click on "Generate".
An application-specific password will be automatically generated. Make sure to copy and save it in a secure location. Once you've copied the password, click on "DONE".
Select 'Google' as a connection option.
Add Email address & app password.
Test your connections.
Click on 'Connect & Save'.
