If you’re checking your Warmup Score and wondering what the numbers mean, this article is for you. It breaks down how the score is calculated, why it changes, and what each warmup status means for your next steps.
The Warmup Score shows how ready your email account is for outreach. It reflects how your emails are performing and whether your account is set up correctly. The score updates automatically as your warm-up continues and ranges from 0 to 100.
It is calculated using three key factors: deliverability, setup health, and bounce rate.
Deliverability is the most important part of your Warmup Score and carries 60% weight.
Only performance from the last 15 days is considered. Deliverability is measured based on where your warm-up emails land, either in the inbox or in spam. To reflect recent behavior more accurately, these 15 days are weighted by time:
Days 1–5: 20% weight
Days 6–10: 30% weight
Days 11–15: 50% weight

This means your most recent email performance has the biggest impact on your score.
The Setup Score contributes 40% weight to your Warmup Score and focuses on the technical health of your email account.
It checks whether key authentication and security records are correctly configured, including:
SPF
DKIM
DMARC

A properly configured setup builds trust with email providers and improves inbox placement.
Bounce rate directly reduces your Warmup Score.
We calculate the average bounce rate from the last 3 days, and this value is deducted from the final score. Higher bounce rates signal potential issues and can slow down or impact your warm-up progress.
Warmup Score = (Deliverability × 60%) + (Setup Score × 40%) − Avg Bounce Rate (last 3 days)Based on your final Warmup Score, your account will fall into one of the following stages
Ready for Outreach (Score: 90–100): Your account is stable and performing well. You can safely begin outreach.
Warming Up (Score: 50–89): Your account is improving but not fully ready yet. Continue warming up before sending outreach emails.
Needs Recovery (Score: 0–49): Your account has deliverability or setup issues.
Pause outreach and focus on fixing these issues first.
The Warmup Score is a number between 0 and 100 that shows how ready your email account is for outreach. It’s based on your recent deliverability, technical setup, and bounce rate.
Inbox placement is the strongest signal email providers use to judge sender reputation. That’s why deliverability makes up 60% of the Warmup Score.
The Warmup Score focuses on recent behavior because email providers care more about how your account is performing now, not months ago. That’s why the last 15 days are weighted, with the most recent days having the highest impact.
The Setup Score is based on whether your email authentication is correctly configured, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Missing or incorrect records can lower this score.
Bounce rate is treated as a penalty. The average bounce rate from the last 3 days is subtracted from your final score. Higher bounce rates reduce your Warmup Score and may slow down warm-up progress.
If your account is in Needs Recovery, pause all outreach and continue warming up the email account for 1–2 weeks. Make sure your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are correctly set up, and keep bounce rates low. Avoid making frequent changes during this period. As inbox placement improves and recent performance stabilizes, your Warmup Score should gradually recover.
